Chocolate cake cubes with marshmallow filling in liquid pan, in the square Zila cake mould. A rich chocolate cake with sweet marshmallow filling in the silicone special Zila cake mould.

Chocolate Cake Sponge Cubes
 300 g flour
 230 g sugar
 150 g baking spread
 6 egg yolks
 150 ml milk
 4 tbsp cocoa powder
 1 tsp baking powder
Marshmallow Filling
 3 egg whites
 200 g sugar
 25 tsp apricot jam
Chocolate Sauce
 3 tbsp cocoa powder
 150 g sugar
 4 tbsp milk
70 g butter (optional - can be replaced with milk)

Let's prepare the sponge first!
1

First, mix the egg yolks and sugar until fluffy.

2

Then add the spread and whisk the egg mixture thoroughly.

3

Add the milk and start mixing the batter gently. You don't need much strength here.

4

Mix flour, baking powder and cocoa powder and then add to a flour sieve. Slightly sift the flour into the egg mixture and stir it until the batter is smooth. Don't need to overwhisk, just make sure there are no flour patches in the bowl.

5

Bake it for 30-40 minutes at 180 Celsius degrees (350 F)

6

Once baked, remove the sponge from the liquid pan immediately and let it cool a bit. You can cut the sponge along the lines nicely.

7

Start filling the liquid cake cubes with the apricot jam. Put one teaspoon in each cube.

Marshmallow Cream
8

There are two ways to prepare the marshmallow cream.
You either start whisking the egg whites with sugar on top of boiling water and add to a piping bag and decorate the cake cubes. You can then use a mini blowtorch and give the marshmallows a nice colour.

Or alternatively, whisk the egg whites and sugar as usual. Fill a piping bag with the marshmallow and decorate the cut cubes as you want. Put them back into the oven until the marshmallow has a nice colour. (I have followed this way when preparing the cakes on the photo)

Chocolate Sauce
9

In a saucepan, start mixing the sugar, cocoa powder and milk. Once they are combined, remove from the heat and add the butter. Mix them well until they form a smooth chocolate sauce. If you feel the sauce is too thick, add some more milk.
With a spoon, drip chocolate onto the marshmallow.
